Still improving. I walked 1.2 miles yesterday at a brisk pace in 30 mph winds (windchill around 0).
Yesterday at work was so annoying. I have a big set of lab data from two events and trying to "merge" them together. Let's just say it didn't go well, and I couldn't just take a break because then I'd lose where I was. I think I have a better plan of attack today.
The wind is howling today. My office door keeps opening and closing slightly, and I don't have a drafty office. Due to wind direction, we're actually getting some lake effect off Lake Erie (150 miles away!) instead of Lake Ontario.

It was a ten year old, blue and gold against a mom and at least a few kits. We later live trapped the mom and seven young ones, a couple youngsters crawled between the cage the mom was in, and the wall of our house and tore out a bunch of siding. walkswithblackflieswelcome to the weekend. Now the “wild animal” I keep finding at my house is a beautiful young pup, but no discipline so he loves my granddaughter and terrifies her by trying to jump up

Good morning. Ten thirty and no sound from the rest of the family yet. Musicman and I are drinking coffee and chatting by the fire, avoiding making noise to begin the day. There are no morning people living under this roof, in spite of the fact that we all get up by 5:30 five days a week.

Apparently the key to weight loss is throwing-out your back. Down 5.5 pounds since it happened (a week ago).
It was healing nicely and I planned on skiing Sunday, but I tweaked it a few minutes before we were going to leave, so I decided not to go. Instead, I did a lot of low-intensity housework and walked the dog twice (total of 3.5 miles).
I was able to run 5 miles yesterday. However, I had to cancel my Spartan Race (March 7). I just don't feel comfortable with the inevitable twisting motions and compression that would occur. On a positive note... Spartan makes it really easy to transfer to another race.

A.K.A. not being able to get the the kitchen as often. LOL! At first I wondered if it was related to the NSAIDs, but I haven't taken for days and my weight is still dropping.

Good morning (well, just past noon where I am, wherever that is :D). Just thought I’d pop in to prove I’m still alive. We just finished a great trek on the “W” Route in Torres del Paine National Park (Chile). Weather was pretty good, and we had some extra days built in, which just happened to coincide with the only rainy day, so we spent that in our tents, not out hiking! The famous Torres del Paine, rather diminished by the panoramic shot. Also missing their summits, which we only say occasionally for brief periods during our 2.5 hours at the viewpoint. Yours truly with Glaciar Grey, at the start of the ”W”.

rebeccad , I just happened to be listening to the magestic section of Pomp and Circumstance as I saw your photos. It's a perfect compliment to the photos - ceremonial in its grandeur. Both scenes are stunning, especially in the range of contrasts.

(I was pretty much put off it forever by all the years I had to play it at graduations).

rebeccad, it's on a PBS Classical Rewind set that I bought to support PBS; it has other inspiring and motivating pieces, which I use when I'm lazy and need inspiration to work. Still, I'm kind of a sucker for that type of music, especially marching bands.

Good morning! I am so happy it’s raining today—the excuse we needed to sit around and talk to other travelers all day, instead of hiking Even addicts need a break sometimes.

Heading to Antarctica today. Seems like a good place to wait out the coronavirus.

Dog got sprayed this morning. Thanks to the panic preppers, the hydrogen peroxide and soap were on the front display inside the drug store. I didn't have to walk more than 10 feet!
The concoction seemed to work, although my nose was also burned-out by that point.

I broke my dog. The cold baths caused limp tail syndrome. It doesn't seem too bad... but poor girl. At least she doesn't stink. The concoction worked great.
Looks like my brother and I are transferring our Spartan credit to the Palmerton Super in July... one of the classics.

Good morning. Do you think a flair for Drama and the desire to role play are genetic? When I met my husband he was really into college theater but his mom had pictures of him running around in a crown and cape being the King of Candyland. Then our birth son was totally into being Chief Powhatten, and later a pirate, and lived in costumes from about two to six. Now the granddaughter rarely wears her normal clothing, but the dress up clothes go to school, and though the other kids might call her crazy Daisy, they seem to like her anyway. The strange thing is she is nervous about participating in things like crazy hair day for spirit week, but on a normal day, going as Cinderella or Maleficent is no problem in her mind. Anyway, so far our schools are open but the first person in our county being tested for Coronavirus had a child in my grandsons class
