The ingredients in the blueberry granola look good, but a lot of their other stuff has MSG and trans fat in it. It looks like most of their food is designed with a 20 year shelf life for survivalists.

I just got in 24 servings of freeze dried meals, from Augason Farms for 21 bucks, with tax.
4 servings of Black Beans and Rice, Creamy Stroganoff, and Cheesy Broccoli and rice, and Pasta Alfredo,. 8 servings of Creamy Chicken and Rice.
The meals are meatless. I have pouched chicken, salmon, tuna, and SPAM. No big issue with adding meat.
The Creamy Stroganoff is not GF, the others meals are certified GF.
I will check out a few of the meals when my wife does her solo trip at the end of the month.
The instructions for prep, the add water amount, lends the food items for repackaging into one or two servings for FBC.
The Blue Berry Granola is supposed to arrive today.

I got the Blueberry granola in this evening. The package will be fine to take camping without repacking. Gonna test it out when my wife does her solo hike. 16 servings of backpacking granola for 8 bucks,

What makes the granola "instant" ?

I think it is about the bag already having powdered milk added and the instant the granola gets wet it is ready to eat. OK one has to stir, which makes the instant a little longer.

Cool, didn't catch the powdered milk part. might have to check this out. My favorite cold breakfast is Mountain House's Blueberry Granola cereal...this is proably lots cheaper!

I tried out the Creamy Chicken and Rice and the Pasta Alfredo. The Creamy Chicken was awesome. I added in, as meat, a can of Vienna sausage. Whiles I could have made a better meat choice, the taste of the Creamy Chicken took over well enough. I would buy this product again. When I cooked the Pasta Alfredo, it was still a bit crunchy on first bite. After waiting another 5 minutes the pasta was still a wee bit crunchy so I added in another 1/4 cup of water a reheated. All was well. The Vienna sausage went will with the Pasta Alfredo. The Blueberry Granola was so so, A pour water in, eat and go kind of meal. Fine as gut food but needs more of a flavor punch for car camping food.
