Does anyone have a contact in Europe or the UK that could send me an empty Gaz "click connector" canister for a Gaz 270 Turbo stove? Empty and punctured would be fine. I'm working with a guy who might be able to make an adaptor so the Gaz stove can be used on the "screw connector" type canisters available here in the US...but he needs a canister to work from. This is not the type of canister that is punctured and can't be removed until it's empty, it's the kind that looks very similar to what we have here, but it has a different connector on the top.

Don't they sell the sealing variety here in the states? Maybe not the piercing one, but the newer self sealer.

Unfortunately, those international seller can't ship full canisters to the USA, and I've asked some of them about empty canisters but none are willing to send me any. And no, no one that I can find sells that kind here in the states. My understanding is that when Coleman purchased Gaz, they stopped importing that type of canister to boost the sales of the "screw connector" type that Coleman produces. That's why I asked if anyone had a contact that might be willing to send one.

I'd throw that stove away and buy a stove that uses screw on containers (i.e.,, pocket rocket).
Gaz stoves are an antiquated design.

Well, yes, I won't argue that. But I have an affection for some of the older stoves. I've got 4 "Hank Roberts Mini Mark III" stoves brought back to life by a converter tube that allows them to be used with the modern canisters.

Thanks! But it's probably going to be dead in the water if I can't get my hands on an empty canister to use for measurements!\
on edit: also, I'm something of a stove freak. I have a collection of something like 60 alcohol stoves. It's amazing how many variations can be worked on something as simple as a soda can or two
