Today's Trip
The forecast for today is 110 degrees here in Tucson. Should be darn near a record. But, that's okay, we choose to live here.
Well the problem about this particular day is that my evaporative cooler has bit-the-dust. Which means it's gonna be pretty dang hot with no way to cool the house off. So, drastic measures will have to be taken to save my life.
I booked a room at the historic Hotel Congress in downtown Tucson. John Dillinger use to hang out there and was arrested near by.
I chose Hotel Congress because it's right in the middle of downtown where everything cool happens in Tucson. Down stairs from my room will be loud live music till 2am. In all cardinal directions from the hotel are live music venues, great food joints and pool halls filled with both hippies and red-neck bikers. There will be dead-heads, metal-heads, Dylan-diehards and Telluride-treehuggers all within a mile of the hotel. Should be a good time.
I think they call this a staycation. I'll give the full report tomorrow evening, with pictures, if I survive the good times.
