With enough mental effort and orange color, any boot can be forced to fit well. Besides, comfort is over-rated. Cooness factor has to count for at least twenty points.

I'm sure they'll fit just fine especially with the insoles I'll be using. Famous last words. Since you are committed to these boots already, do a few miles. Only you can tell if they're any good or not. BTW, why the gtx? I don't necessarily need the GTX. The ones I have currently are and I like them a lot. I understand that waterproofing isn't good if you're because of water not escaping, but I like the waterproofing because I use them for hunting, fishing, and basically anything outdoors. And it seems to be helpful for the most part, I've never gotten my feet wet on the inside so I haven't had to live through that pain yet. I like these boots because I've read countless reviews on them and they seem wonderful. I like how durable they are and that they have a very aggressive grip. I understand that fit is extremely important and I'm definitely going to try these on before I buy them, I'm not going to stuff my foot into something uncomfortable just because I really want them. If they're uncomfortable then I'll find something else. My only trouble is finding a store that sells them.

The ones I see most often on the trail are X Ultra Mids. I use X Ultra 2.

Will you please explain this story? It sounds interesting 😂 Within the secret ultra-hidden ultralight backpacking uber-secret club, we have a rating system. As long as your safety factor (orange), the size of the drill, bit used, multiplied by the number of holes in sequence, and then the inverse of the grams weighed reaches 100 points, you classify for a Brownie button to be proudly worn to all said super secret uber hush hush ultralight backpacker meetings. If you reach five brownie points, you get the super secret patch. All I can say is...it is so ultralight, it actually removes weight from your ultralight wicking shirt and is made of 130% Aerogel. Sick stuff....seriously.
