Guess I made the "Nice" list this year since my dream BA Copper Spur UL2 Mtnglo tent ⛺️ was under the tree. Along with the REI GC - I will be adding the Delorme inReach SE to my gear list this winter. My family all agreed that this time last year they didn't think I would stick with backpacking; they thought it was a fleeting interest. Guess I earned my...whatever backpackers earn Happy holidays to my favorite BP gurus!

Got me some -35 socks this year. I was getting nervous that I may not get some backpacking gear under the tree because I don't have anything needed...but ultralight toys are always welcome!

Well, @bjaye I see we declared you Trail Wise, so I'm glad your family recognized it--AND they paid attention to your list and didn't get you the 9-lb tent from Walmart!

I'm guessin' -35F socks ain't exactly UL like some other socks, and at -35F there ain't no such thing as a toy, but HYOH. I scored a Standard Horizon HX870 VHF radio for kayaking. Yeah, that's a big score. I tickled my grandson and stole his bellybutton. Score. Also had a hedgehog, giraffe, and unicorn (pretend to) fall asleep on the couch. It don't get much better than that.

For myself I bought a new computer, hood supports for my Cherokee, two pairs of pants and a set of sheets. From friends I got a fantastic family oriented Christmas Eve dinner. And, also from another family, I got a fantastic Christmas Day dinner. I have leftovers from both dinners. I'm set for a while.

When you use Quick Reply, you get a load of standard emotiicons, plus the dancing banana: --- When you use REPLY, you get an assortment of other images, including the dancing chicken: Two ways to respond, two different sets of images. You are not crazy.

plus the dancing banana: Umm, your dancing banana is actually a slice of bacon. Says so in the emoticon. I was wondering about the color of that banana. This is a dancing banana, in a kilt.

dancing banana is actually a slice of bacon toMAY-to, to-MAH-to. ba-NAN-a, BAY-con. Bacon, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

tigger - "Got me some -35 socks this year." (iPad quoting sucks) That sentence along with your avatar is really hysterical! - (this one won't go away)
