I was watching a show last night and they had a little segment on these two people. The show gave a glimpse into their "Year in the Wilderness. When I did a little more digging today about their year in the wilderness I came across a much larger mission that it was part of. Thought I would share Save the Boundary Waters

Just read where Twin Metals federal mineral lease was not renewed. Now, if all doesn't change after Jan. 20.
The year in the "wilderness" was a bit suspect. Did they leave to resupply? what about when they traded in their canoe for three sled dogs and sled. Where did that come from?

The idea/concept of being able to take a year away from work and spend it traveling the boundary waters, is what spiked my interest. I am sure they had people along the way that helped. The important thing was to raise awareness.
