Today while riding the chair lift while skiing with a couple of buddies, we all noticed that our gloves had horizontal strips of fabric sewn across the backside of a finger or two. We have no idea what they are for other than conveniently getting caught in tree branches. Anyone care to enlighten us? We're clueless.

REI says those straps are for a carabiner so the gloves can be hung up
