I was strolling through my local grocer this morning, when I spied French's Crispy Jalapenos. Same container that those onions come in, but green. Mostly the same calorie content as well. Lots of calories per ounce, salt also. Made me grab a container for adding to lunches, etc... I'll let you know how they are, unless someone else has already eaten them and has an opinion. Crispy Jalapenos

Breading is identical to that stuff on the fried onions. Peppers have a nice kick. I can see adding this to dinners & lunches. Maybe just snack on a couple alone. Another ingredient for the meal box.

Perhaps you could mix a few of these jalapenos in with the green beans in your Thanksgiving casserole.

Perhaps you could mix a few of these jalapenos in with the green beans in your Thanksgiving casserole. I threw one of those together a few years ago as a quick and simple dish to take, and now it is my assigned contribution to Thanksgiving. Next year I plan to make my own crispy onions instead of buying them in a box or can. Throwing in a few jalapeños is brilliant. Store bought stuff like that doesn't last long at my house, as I love to snack on them.

Eco, a properly done green bean casserole is wonderful. A bad one is a soggy, salty mess. My former mother-in-law makes a wonderful version using a mixture of green beans and wax beans. Even that one benefits in my experience from a splash of Crystal hot sauce.

The husband and I ate a Costco sized bag just as snacks.
Yes, they would be great on the green bean casserole.
