I spent decades in naval aviation and had my share of close calls. Doing Case 3 approaches, at night, to a pitching deck in heavy seas scared me witless. Seeking out and doing that for the shear thrill of it bends my mind. The idea of jumping out of an airplane without a parachute breaks my mind. I don't understand adrenaline junkies. I really don't.

So what was the point of jumping from 25,000 ft? At that altitude he'd have to jump wearing an O2 mask, yet his velocity at impact would have been the same if he'd jumped at less than half that altitude where no O2 mask would be needed. Did it give him more time to adjust his trajectory to hit the target?
And as for that paycheck, you could not pay me enough.
