I think we have some paddlers here. I'm looking for splash pants or paddling pants that come in women's petite or 'short' sizes. I've searched, but nobody seems to make them. I don't need them to be water-tight, e.g. dry pants, but do want them to be waterproof. Appreciate any suggestions!

How small is small? Kokatat and others make good stuff. Looks like Kokatat's smallest size is S, which is a 27-28 inseam. Some have sealed ankles/waist which could actually help if they're a bit too long, while others are more like regular pants, which could be hemmed. True dry pants with a neoprene or velcro waist band can be cinched as small/tight as you like.

Hmm... I thought I'd looked at Kokatat's inseams but maybe not, because that sounds perfect. I have their paddling jacket, so you'd think I'd check them first. Thanks for pointing it out.

You could get the capri style, and just let them hit you wherever. Are you going some place exotic?

I really want full pants in a loose WPB fabric, so that I can wear a baselayer underneath if needed. The capris all seem to be like leggings in a neoprene-like fabric. Rafting the Grand Canyon this spring!

Those were super long on me. I'm sure they'd fit a 6' tall runway model...

Those were super long on me. Bummer. These looked just what you were looking for. Any chance you can have them professionally hemmed? Rainy Pass comes to mind. Just a thought.

I could shorten them myself but it would be too fussy of a job, with ankle cuffs and articulated knees; they would never be quite right. There are a lot of companies that make paddling pants like those and I'm not that oddly shaped. Seems like I should be able to find something that fits... Haven't found a Kokokat's to try in person; may have to order them.

On rafting or paddling trips, I've always either worn my NRS neoprene capris and/or my Marmot rain pants, which do come in petite. (I'm 5'1")
