Yep. Typically beautifully made Italian boots. Such boots no longer interest me, and I'm slowly gravitating to low hikers.

Years ago. the late 70s I think, They were great boots for their time.

Yes! Circa 1985. They were BEAUTIFUL. But, like Brad, I just don't have much use for this type of boot anymore. I'm more into the minimal type shoe these days.

Sure, two pairs in a row of their Muir Trails, early to mid 70's iirc. But I found that on the stone strewn Sierra trails I liked the soles were just too thin for me: constant sore feet. So I switched up to boots with a thicker sole and from then on my soles were happy.
Relegated the last pair to approach use. Great fit and comfortable on anything but rocks.
