.....I'm referring to my down jacket, of course. My beloved North Face coat has provided me warmth, beyond measure, for over 10 years. It's been missing for over a month. For over a month I have been turning this house and our vehicles inside out. I think it's time to suck it up and admit my defeat. It's gone. It is a sad, sad day.

A sad day indeed. Are you going to hold a wake for it?

Oh no! I hate when I lose something. On the bright side, REI 20% coupon starts Friday

Deborah I'm pretty sure this is my memorial for it. I am forced to admit that I will never find a jacket of that quality every again. Sure, it had a few stitches to patch up minor rips in the shell, but there was over 10 years of use on it. What a fantastic coat it was. Just last winter the zipper stopped zipping up correctly. I was wondering if that was the end of it. Nope, I sent it in to the North Face who replaced the zipper pull and fixed it up for free. Stellar customer service, btw.

It's always so disappointing when that happens. A few times I've been almost as frustrated by finding something soon after I replaced it.

I share your pain. I've lost a few things over the years, just flat out unable to account for their disappearance. It's a frustration!

So sorry. I hate when that happens. I lost my North Face vest a while ago. However, I have replaced it with a new Patagonia one. Have you checked Ed's closet?

Have you checked Ed's closet? I'd ask the dog, too.

Katy doesn't eat things she isn't supposed. Olly, on the other hand, is a suspect in the crime. Although, I would imagine she would have been pooping purple by now....

If you're anything like me, you'll find it stuffed somewhere while you're looking for something else or as soon as you buy a replacement for it.

In last place you look, usually... Since most of us stop looking once we find it!
