Hello,
I'm 22 years old, love the out doors as well as technology. lately I've gotten back into hiking and camping, and naturally I now am seeking knowledge from those that have been there and done that. Hopefully I will meet some cool new friends on here.
If any one has any questions feel free to ask.
- Chris

Welcome Chris. This is a great place to learn & pick peoples' minds for information. I am a newbie here as well, (Maryland). Where do you hike/ camp?

Welcome! I am in Largo, up near St. Petersburg. I am 65 and most of my hiking has been in the West. I still do at least a week out there annually. Now that I live in Florida, I have taken up more kayak camping, exploring the Glades.

Hi
well due to my location in town I'm kind of restricted to mostly state parks around here. however it does make for a great experience, although just recently I was up around GA, TN, NC and did some day trips out there some waterfalls / trails.

Hi Zeke,
kayak camping...hmm now that sounds interesting, I bet you can find some pretty remote places traveling via kayak.
Hi Ohm
I have recently gone through everything I use and am now counting ounces.

Howdy Lamebeaver,
1. I have actually never tried beets 2. Not personally a fan of Brussels sprouts ( I think its a texture thing) 3. I'm more of a rum kinda guy 4. Crown and coke, for those days where something better is needed a small glass of Johnnie Walker usually does the trick 5. Again never actually tried 6. Gotta love bacon 7. No prior experience with kilts

I thought the gave you a jar of pickled okra when you changed your address at the DMV down there.
Love of bacon makes up for a platitude of other evils.

Lamebeaverso I've been reading other forums and was wondering why do the members ask about those items ?

Welcome from the desert Southwest. so I've been reading other forums and was wondering why do the members ask about those items ? I guess it's tradition. Over the years, the list has narrowed to a few items. Take it as a welcome and a "right of passage". You certainly won't be harshly judged for your answers. Well, not too harshly, anyway.

Over the years, the list has narrowed to a few items. Unfortunately, we seem to have lost a few. Vegemite behind the ears? PAM or butter?

desert dweller Hi I assumed it was something like that, is there ever a right / wrong way to answer ? (don't suppose you can share how you were able to quote another member ? I tried looking in the quick reply box and the full reply but obviously to no avail)
