I just returned from my local REI's garage sale and I scored some great deals. Among one of the things I bought was an EXPED Synmat UL 7. On the label it stated that two of the air cells had morphed in to one. I figured awesome no big deal, I blew it up and (link of picture below) the pad looks a little off. I laid on it and it's honestly not a huge deal (way better than the yoga mat I was using) but it's a little awkward to try and get in the right position on. Any tips for how to possibly fix the morphed cell? postimg.org/image/6g7y0dd57/Thank you any help is appreciated

Less air will help you find a comfort spot.

Good call I'll make sure to play aruond with the air pressure for sure. That was a little flat for me when I laid on it but the bump was still pronounced. I found picking an uneven spot that raises the left side helps.

I would send it to Exped - I bet they would give you a new one.

Yeah, I don't think there's any way to fix that problem, just ways to live with it.

I don't get REI putting it into a garage sale -- THEY could have gotten a new one. That's just a bad air mattress.

That's a good idea I'll have to send Exped and email and see if they can send a new one. No complaints over here though with REI putting it out :D

Just read the fine print on Exped's website and "REI Garage Sale products are not eligible for warranty replacement." I'll have to see about repairs though.

I've had good experiences with Exped over the years including their service department. I've sent only pics before of a Downmat leaking down and that was enough for them to send me a new one without having to send them anything. Might work for you though they might ask where you got it from

I had this exact problem with a Exped Downmat 9. There was no way to fix it, and I was able to return it for a replacement from the store I bought it from (MEC here in Canada). The warranty was 5 years I think - but that warranty time length varies from product to product with Exped.
I had to sleep one night on it b/c it went out in the middle of a trip ... I found it to be quite uncomfortable, and it was colder as well. I wouldn't have bought one damaged for any price b/c it's basically useless in my book.
Seeing how you got it on a sale based on the damage, I doubt Exped is going to replace it. I'm surprised REI would have sold this thing with the damage b/c they should have had it replaced with Exped as part of the warranty process . Maybe they already did ... and the original customer has his new replacement mat, and REI is trying to double-dip a bit by selling the bad one - which seems like a stretch, but that's the only reasonable conclusion I can come up with.
