I am set to fly out on September 29 and spend 3 nights cavorting in the Rawah Wilderness with my longtime friend from FoCo. We did Commanche the same time 2 years ago and it was great.
There is good beta on the Poudre Wilderness Volunteer web site, but any recommendations or suggestions are always appreciated. We are accomplished backpackers and high country travelers and are just looking for some reasonable solitude, good scenery, and lack of political discourse and first world problems...

My wife and I did Rawah a few years back, here is the blog entry I did about it: cadeandmolly.com/2010/09/03/rawah-national-widerness-and-rmnp-co/Beautiful place. In hindsight, we should have found a way to hit the trail earlier to get up to the high altitude lakes the first day instead of getting a late start and taking 2 days to get up there. I would also bring a fly rod, lots of fish in the streams.
