I think there is already a discussion about this somewhere. But I'll be traveling already made plans to stay with relatives who live almost directly in the path.

I'm going to wait until I can see the forecast, but I expect to see it somewhere reasonably close to Oklahoma.

I'm excited about it - I want to spend the occasion at Lida Summit!

I saw the one in France 15+ years ago, but it was cloudy. And I saw the annular eclipse in Northern California a few years ago.
Looking forward to this one, and visiting a few friends in Oregon while I do it!

Too far for me. I'll just have to live with only seeing a total eclipse of the heart.

Too far for me. I'll just have to live with only seeing a total eclipse of the heart. You could head farther north and let the earth's tilt and orbit occlude the sun for a few months. Might be easier. You wouldn't have to climb that pesky wall at the border.

This is one of the better websites I've found on the subject. www.greatamericaneclipse.com/I also understand getting as close to the centerline of the eclipse as possible can significantly extend the time of totality, which is common sense, if you think about it.

I'm just hoping to get past the Ides of March. You long term thinkers have always amazed me. For me, it's one Friday at a time...

Nothing can beat the time I flew my Lear jet up to Nova Scotia to see the total eclipse of the sun.
