So, over the years (about 20 years) I've gone from an MSR Whisper, to boiling water on fire, then to an MSR PR and finally to alcohol stoves. I've found the alcohol stoves to be addictive. I love the idea of making my own gear. Of course, those of you that use them know that you must use a windscreen. I've made many windscreens, out of heavy duty foil, out of toss away roasting pans, out of beer cans, etc. I decided that I just want one that lasts and takes a beating so I ordered a VARGO. Anyone have any experience with them? Did I waste my hard earned 14 bucks!?!?!? Lol. Any comments? Anyone have a better idea? Thanks.

Bill's Whitebox stove kit works perfectly for me. The windscreen/stove combo have worked great for my .9 liter Evernew Ti pot. I can't recommend them highly enough. whiteboxalcoholstoves.com/
