I am 99.999% sure it is a hoax / creation of the mind's theater, but still leaves a .001% chance that it is not a sham.
I have watched a few "documentaries" on the Patterson/Gimlin film. Some claim it is a manufactured hoax. Others provide an exhaustive analysis of the creature's gait and stature to suggest that no human form could replicate the movements caught on film.
Then there are all of those footprints, and all of the eyewitness accounts. If just one of them is legit, then....maybe.
Any believers out there?

I'd like to believe, but the rational side of me says a dead body would have been discovered by now.

There are not any bigfoots (bigfeets?).
The UFOs abducted all of them and sent them to the FEMA camps after the Illuminati Freemasons ordered it. I know this true. Amelia Earhart told me so when I visited the secret base in the Bermuda Triangle.

Of all the trail cams aimed at food sources, you'd think a 7 foot tall creature would enjoy a free meal at least once.
As far as believing, it sure makes for good entertainment.
Anyone seen the movie "Willow Creek"? It was directed by Bobcat Goldthwait. Low budget and Blair "Witchy" but a pretty good squash movie in my opinion.
I recommend watching it the day before an extended hike!

My wife is an attorney, but studied cultural anthropology as an undergrad at U of C. She tells me that every culture has lore of some large, super-human creature with unnatural powers, and Bigfoot is just the latest manifestation of this tendency.
Hard to argue with that, but it is at least somewhat curious to me. The legend of the Yeti (Tibet), Yowie (Australia), Sasquatch (North America), (there is also a "version" in Bhutan), etc. also suggests that the global nature of this thing might be a shred of evidence in support of it.

Perhaps there's a bit of confusion. I haven't heard anything about the size of Donald Trump's feet, but he claims to have really big hands. Maybe Bighand is really Bigfoot? On the other hand, Trump's not shy at all, which the legendary Bigfoot seems to be.

Leprechauns, kachinas, kami, fairies, and angels are similar cultural manifestations -- spiritual creatures found in various forms in cultures around the world. Self proclaimed modern enlightened people reject such mythology, so they subconciously create their own in the form of UFOs and conspiracy theories while remaining in denial about believing such cultural fables.

I notice that Trump, like Bigfoot, is very blurry when seen in public.

BigFoot probably uses a sharpened stone or something similar to keep his (or her?) hair out of his/her eyes so he/she can see well and continue to hide from humans.

More importantly: can bigfoot delete emails?

More importantly: can bigfoot delete emails? If he has his own email server, I would suppose so. But I think that only the Southern Bigfoots have their own servers.
