Welcome and you are most welcome to share more photos! My girlfriend and I are planning on hiking the Teton Crest Trail in late September! Any advice or recollections are appreciated Hi daveb! I don't think you can go wrong on the Teton Crest. My advice would be to take it slowly and drink in the scenery. Allow time for side trips and to just let the beauty take your breath away. In a good way, not in an AMS way. If you are both in great shape, and super motivated you could do the Tram from Teton Village all the way to the Paintbrush. I am a slothful hiker, well, actually have some physical limitations, and so we took the cheater's routes, cutting over to the trail from Death Canyon, and going out through the Cascade Canyon, rather than the Paintbrush. I can only do about 5-7 miles per day, so we stayed at Death Canyon, the Shelf, South Fork (2 nights), and the North Fork (short side trip to Lake Solitude). We took the ferry across Jenny Lake at the end ($9 per person). As a bonus, it is all downhill through Cascade Canyon on the last day and it feels amazing after all the strenuous hiking. As far as a few logistics: after acclimating a couple days at Colter Bay, we parked at Jenny Lake near the boat dock (arrive by 6:30 or 7 to get a parking spot) and took Teton Taxi down to the Death Canyon trailhead ($75). I highly recommend Teton Taxi, and will use them again. The campsites in Death Canyon, Death Canyon Shelf and the South Fork were 5-star. Consider staying an extra night at South Fork near the Avalanche spur in order to take the Avalanche Divide side trip - it is well worth it! It is an extremely scenic area and a less traveled trail. We didn't see a single person on the Avalanche trail, so it is a good if you want scenery without all the people. The post hike burgers at Signal Mountain Lodge (Deadman's Bar) were to die for. Grass-fed, local beef perfectly seasoned in a mountain-view bar. It was on our way home so we gave it a shot and were very glad we did. Happy trip planning, and let me know if you have any specific questions.

Welcome Riversong, from Wyoming. Glad you had a good time in the Tetons. Great photos. Do come back.
Hey, and stick around the forums. Your enthusiasm is welcome, also.
