Looking at johntp's response, I realize that saying one is from "California" is about as specific as saying one is in the NE.

You made me laugh out loud. You are correct, Cali has a lot of diverse environments. I'm in south Orange county where it is essentially summer year round. Boring!

never did get used to wearing fleece in July! Being a native of the Seattle area, that wasn't so hard. It's the shorts in January that I can't get used to
