When you want to create a new post, either as a new topic or as a reply to another, the top-right of the Board window has a button to Create Thread. When you create a thread, you title it, add your comments, then tap the button bottom-right to Create Thread.
If you want to reply to a message already posted, you can see Reply in top-right, or look under the post and see Quick Reply.
• Quick Reply sounds easier but it doesn't have Preview or BBcode buttons. If that bothers you, you can start your message, wish for a preview and tap the Reply button; it will switch without losing what you have written, you can see a preview.! Nice to know.

NOTE: PC users: Do NOT try to PrintScreen/Paste! It doesn't work. Also note: this feature does not work on mobile devices yet!
If there is a particular thing you want to comment on in another's post, highlight a short phrase in that message and see a button pop up to Add Quote. Then in the text area below the last comment, that text is coded and ready for you to add your remarks under that code. The posted reply will show the quoted text with that author's name, making it clear who is being addressed. The author you quoted will get a PM that somebody has made a comment.
Of course you can just add your Reply. Then bottom-right, hit Create Post, or Save Changes if you were editing. FYI, editing your work is now always available to you. If you start a thread, you can edit the title as well as the comment.
Note: You might be surprised to see code. The default is to let you work with BBcode first, and there is a Preview button lower-left to see what you're producing. If this code is not interesting to you, change the Settings in your Profile (example shown below). You can also set Drafts option to YES. Then when you leave the page for some reason and come back, you will not have lost your work.
This is what you'll find in your Profile>Settings:
Enable Drafts
Saves your posts periodically during creation.
Yes No
Delete? Easy too. The Gear icon in your posts (upper right) will drop a menu of options, including Delete.
Posting Default
Sets what editor you default to when creating posts.
Preview • BBCode

Remember, you can switch back and forth between Preview and BB code while composing. Then on bottom-right, the button to Create Post, or if editing, Save Changes. And you have editing available without a time limit!
