Porkies - Escarpment Trail (from Government Peak Trailhead on M-107 to Lakes of the Clouds and back)
Date of Hike: 5/6/16
Trail Conditions: Trails in great shape, dry, maintained, great views!
Special Equipment Required: None (bug spray needed, head net optional)
Comments: Bugs were present, thick at trailhead but OK if you stay on the move.

Porkies - Loop to Summit Peak from Overlooked Falls Trailhead (Little Carp River Trail, S. Mirror Lake Trail, Beaver Creek Trail)
Date of Hike: 6/14/16
Trail Conditions: Trails in good shape, rough mud spot on S. Mirror Lake - about 75 feet and can lose trail, otherwise well maintained boardwalks and bridges, great views from Summit Peak tower!
Special Equipment Required: None (bug spray needed, head net optional)
Comments: Bugs were thick, brutal unless moving or in wind, saw other hikers with head nets. Great long day hike with fun climb to great view from Summit Peak.
