The thing is, helicopters have already crashed, thanks to drones being in the way.
ZERO tolerance for entitled jerks who try to claim their right to play where they want trumps the safety of SAR activity. You can bet I will be able to snag a drone in a single cast. I don't even care if I lose a lure doing it. They don't belong out there unless they belong to SAR - because SAR will be able to coordinate their drones with their aircraft.

Not trying to stir things up. Yes rules should be followed. No argument there. Just saying the popularity and ability to own is growing at such a exponential pace that future easing to regulations (in my opinion) will one day come. Plenty of places to fly without bothering others now. Change "drone" to "Mountain Bike" or "ATV", that have 1,000's of times more users, and the results are still the same. It's still against the law and it will not change.
