Hello, all Before I get to my question. I did look over the threads to see if this question was asked before.if its out there.I didn't see it. Anywho.... has anyone ever used nesbit instead of alcohol in their tuna can stove. I'm always trying to lighten my load and over a week of hiking this would free me of almost a pound of burden.

This page has some tips on how to use some alcohol burners with Esbit : zenstoves.net/SolidFuelBurner.htmgenerally you get the best results* from a system that is well fine tuned not from randomly assembling bits. By system I mean burner/wind screen/pot. With Esbit I had the best results using the Caldera Cone kit. *Best result is based on what you like best.. That is about speed over fuel usage or somewhere in between.
