I"m on a LG tablet and have some photos on it but can"t seem to upload them to a thread. I have the add photo icon but when i hit it I'm only given an option to type in a url, not link to my photos on my tablet. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. There's no hosting of images here, so we link to images at our own sites, photobucket, or wherever. You can find some helpful info here.

Reuben pointed you to the list of forum tricks, but pay most attention to Photobucket info. Yes, you must add your photos to a storage site and grab a link from there. Note that there is an app that you can use on a tablet for easy loading photos to your Photobucket Account. = = = There are TWO good reasons for not allowing the usual ability to just attach a photo from a computer or mobile device: 1. Uploaded photoes take disc space on the server. Attachments are often uploaded by users unfamiliar with doing any photo editing, so the uploads are big file size, often at 300ppi! This creates problems for others viewing the image when the download takes longer than a correctly prepared image! 2. a) This forum is hosted on a Proboards server. Proboards does allow a small amount of free file storage, but after that id used, charges start, And at this time nobody is offering to pay that recurring charge. b) A big deterrent to using attachments is esthetic! Uploaded images are sampled to create a thumbnail preview (about half the size of a credit card) that must then be clicked to open a full-sized image in a new window! That might seem nice, but it gets old having to shuffle and close windows, and surprisingly, often the picture will either be way big or, silly enough, just small images like a 5x7, if that.

tried the link to facebook Did you see the Facebook info in the Help section? Tigger was the one who made it work, but FB is a PITA and probably has changed...Again. Do NOT be afraid of Photobucket Which is actually quite easy. Free. What's not to like? And the app (check the Android stire or whatever served LC tablets) You'll get it figured out!

Thanks I'll get on it. I've heard tell around here that if there aren't pictures it didn't happen so I better get myself set up.
