Just finished filming this little video showing how/where to backpack in the Chiricahua Mtns of southern Arizona. Great summertime destination for the southwest:

One of the pools surrounded by rocks looks human made, like something from a backyard pool garden. I've always liked those little pools, especially with bog type foliage around them.
I also liked the flower portions; they lend a lovely touch to some of the more harsh and dry areas.
That was a nice trip, all from the comfort of home (I'm not a hot weather person)!

That video was great. I will be camping down there through the 4th of July holiday weekend. Now I know where to hike! Thanks!

Nice video. I used to spend a lot of time in the Chiricahuas back in the 80s, mostly in the Portal area. It is a spectacular place.

Excellent and informative without typical hearts and flowers commentary or chest thumping Tarzan antics.
Actually researched a family vacation in southern New Mexico and Arizona last Christmas and had the National Monument on the list. Wasn't feasible due to short lead time and coordination obstacles.
Thanks for expanding our backcountry horizons.

Thanks for expanding our backcountry horizons. Thank you for the feedback, always appreciated. The Monument is worth a stop if you're in the area. The rock formations are spectacular.
