Think it was the Complete Walker that mentioned lions will not try to enter a fabric tent. Still an Elmer Fudd voice would be telling me "be vewy, vewy quiet"...

This reminds me of a story my uncle tells about hunting in Canada of bear that would come through their camp at night find which side of the tent he was sleeping and push on him through the tent wall. He changed sides of the next the next night and bear found him and did the same thing. Can't help but wonder if the bear had a partner laying it wait outside the tent door just case he came running out! lol
