I have an instaflator (it's awesome!) but they seem to have been discontinued. I want a spare should the one I have ever wear out or rip or something. Does anyone know where I can buy one? Thanks, Steve

I just use a small plastic garbage bag and a wide rubber band - works great and is almost free. The bag doubles as an emergency pack liner in heavy rain.

Have you tried contacting flyweight designs? Instaflators disappeared a couple of years ago, but they eventually got them back in stock, hopefully they're still around. If not, there are other similar products available nowadays, I have switched to a Neoair pumpsack, which though bulkier and not quite as effective as the Instaflator, serves double duty as a pack liner, and does an adequate job of inflating my air pad. You might also try posting a WTB over on Backpacking Light.

I meant actually using the contact form to ask them if any more will become available. They were out of stock a few years ago, but eventually got them back in: link

t really is very easy to make one as suggested by dh204. I shot a video on how to do it last year but many others of course have made something like that. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nux8bZ-bJV8start at 1:50 to avoid the intro...

I have one. Stopped using it when I sprang for a little pump (Camp-tek Microburst) that blows pads up and weighs less than the Thermarest pump sack. No work, inflated pad that needs just a couple puffs to finish.
I'm the most popular girl in camp - more than 60 pad inflations on a set of triple As.

I've gotten a bunch of small holes in my Instaflator, I've patched it with Tenacious tape or a standard patch kit and it's kept on working fine. Therm-A-Rest has a kit of the hose attachment hardware so you can make your own Instaflator from any bag.
