What kind of camping? The Snowy Range is just West of Laramie, and it has some good camping spots. Casper Mt has some car camping places that are nice. Nothing spectacular on it though. Vedauwoo, between Cheyenne & Laramie, has some terrific scenery, and the car camping is good.

This is just few miles off I-25, just north-west of Douglas. Wonderful spot. Kind of an oasis in the high arid plains. You'd never know or suspect it was there without investigating. Highly recommended. www.wyomingtourism.org/things-to-do/detail/Ayers-Natural-Bridge/8208The small town of Wheatland also has some nice car camping facilities in their city park last I knew and it's free as far as I know.

Is there camping at ayres natural bridge? Last time I was there, there was car camping. Very nice location although the racoons can be a bit of a problem. They are persistent little buggers. Don't leave your food out. Douglas also has a nice city campground down by the river.

Glendo State Park, 25 miles southeast of Douglas and just east of I-25. Glendo is along the Interstate and about halfway between Denver and Sheridan. The more remote campsites are on the east banks of the reservoir. Maps at the link above or here at Acme Mapper.

Vedauwoo [/article]
They put a campground in at Vedauwoo 10 years ago, that might be OK, but the dispersed areas are known for being a MAJOR late night party area for kids from Laramie and Cheyenne and the towering rock formations amplify MAJOR sound.
