There are a few options. One nice campground here in Port Angeles is the Heart of the Hills Campground located four miles up Hurricane Ridge Rd. Near Forks are several options but the best two are either Bogachiel State Park located six miles south of Forks or Mora Campground Which is only a hop skip and a jump from Rialto Beach on Mora Rd. Halfway between Port Angeles and Forks is Fairholme Campground located at the west end of Lake Crescent. Alternatively, you can camp for free in my backyard here in Port Angeles. Let me know the day and your phone number and I can let you know our address. According to Google Maps we are about 65 miles from Rialto Beach and approximately hour and a half drive. Rumi

Also, if you are going to arrive on a weekend the ONP campgrounds are first come first serve and fill up quickly. During the week it is likely you can find a spot easily.

I don't think you will have any problem getting a spot at Mora Campground on a Thursday evening. It is really close to Rialto and you will get a huge jump on any crowds. I am supposing you will be picking up the permits at the WIC in Port Angeles and then off to the coast.
Make sure you have a tide table and maps indicating impassible areas during high tides.
Have a great trip.

PS: FYI If you are driving all the way, then watch your speed once you get on the Olympic Peninsula, especially from the Hood Canal Bridge to Port Angeles.

++1 on the speed traps. It seems a concerted effort to have visitors to the area help support it.
