Hey Rangersven. I enjoy a couple of programs on one of our local public stations, KLCC. Sundays from 2:00-5:00 (Pacific time) they have an Americana program followed by an hour of NPR news, then at 6:00 Jeffery plays jazz from his collection. Good stuff from knowledgeable DJs. You might stream them this afternoon and see what you think. Unfortunately, to me, KLCC went to a talk show format during the weekdays, but Sundays are good. klcc.org/live-stream-links

It's those 'voices' in your head that tells you to do things.

My favorite jazz stations are WBGO in Newark and KJZZ in Phoenix. The latter typically only plays jazz at night (during the day it's NPR). I usually listen to satellite radio during my commute.

Thx, llamero! Listening now! Glad to hear KLCC has not been acquired by OPB. WGBO I have listened to, Big Load. I listen to KJAZZ out of Long Beach, CA. Are you familiar with that KJAZZ, Big Load? Swing Time with Johnny Magnus is my favorite radio program; it is on Saturdays and Sundays. Magnus is a legend. Great playlists. I use to listen to XRT when I lived in Chi-town, Johnny Ray. It was many years ago. Almost 30. Hemmert, Marker, Johnny Mars are a few of the names I remember. I'll check out that station, Balzaccom. Thx. I seem to remember listening to it before on TUNE IN Radio. Happy Trails, RS A lot of those names are still at XRT to this day.

They've done some joint promotions with WBGO and an occasional guest DJ spot, but I've never heard any of their own programming.

My radios only work on two stations. One is KXCI, which is a non-affiliated community station. The other is KUAT which is the University of Arizona, NPR station. Other stations don't make it through to my ears.
