I don't eat any bacon, and ya'll haven't kicked me out yet. You redeemed yourself with your new avatar. I'm not positive, but turkey bacon may be a bigger crime than no bacon. Exactly! :D

Bacon - turkey bacon only, please To each his/her own, but IMHO uncured pork bacon is healthier than nitrate-cured turkey bacon. I'm sure the ladies will be pleased with your kilt response.

With myself included, three non-bacon-eaters in one thread prove that we are a force to be reckoned with.

I can't figure out how to quote! lamebeaver - I agree with you, but IF I'm going to eat bacon, it's gonna be turkey. I don't eat pork or beef.

I can't figure out how to quote! Select the portion you wish to quote by highlighting it. A little box will open saying "Quick Quote" click on that. It will start the quote for you in a response box down below.

If I'm going to eat bacon, it's gonna be turkey. I had turkey bacon once. Once.

Nice area, southern Idaho, especially to fish! Last year, the two of us also saw/backpacked some of your Sawtooths: Pettit - Toxaway - Edna - Ardeth - Ingeborg - Spangle - Camp - Heart - Alturas Lakes loop. We spent 15 days...maybe 45 miles total with packs...lots of day trips too...fishing 25+ lakes. We both carried 1-man rafts, (saw maybe 10 people the whole time)...15 inch Cuts were the common fare, pink meat! Highlight of my adventure was a 26" Cut/'Bow, C & R...(ain't saying where), and even bagged a few greylings too. Some pics - www.highsierratopix.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=13241

I seldom eat bacon, not because I don't like it (are you kidding? I love it!) but because it's so unhealthy. Definitely a treat, not a regular thing. I like to take a package or two of shelf-stable bacon backpacking

Boarshead makes a very nice shelf stable bacon. I find it in my grocer's.
