Hello....new to the forum. Looking forward to reading up and learning from others. Not new to backpacking, though. I live in Southwest Idaho, married with 3 kids (one left in the nest!). Looking forward to doing some backpacking trips this summer. Probably just weekenders. Last summer my friend and I hiked the Toxaway-Petitt Lake loop in the Sawtooths. Wow. What a trip. Amazing views.
My dream is the AT. Maybe someday!
Anyway...hello!

Howdy! Please share your opinions on the following"
kilts bacon beets Brussels sprouts Scotch
IMHO extended weekend trips (two or three nights) give you the most bang for your buck and also avoid some of the weekend traffic.

Glad to have you aboard! We seem to be drawing more women these days than men. You'll find lots of good info here, as well as some funny characters. Stick around. We need more sanity.

LOL! Girl power! :D
Kilts - have a weakness for them. Don't get me started. Throw in a good Scottish accent and I might leave my husband. (j/k) Bacon - turkey bacon only, please Beets - refuse to touch them Brussel Sprouts - YUM! Scotch - never tried the stuff, but a good Pinot Grigio will win me over!

I don't eat any bacon, and ya'll haven't kicked me out yet. I'm not positive, but turkey bacon may be a bigger crime than no bacon. Welcome, hippiebutterfly. I lived the first 4 years of my life in SW Idaho.
