So I've got a building collection of digital photos. Starting back when I got a little Canon ELPH while I still mostly shot 35 mm slides running through my occasional iPhone shot to today when I use a dSLR, a more current Canon ELPH and the more than occasional iPhone shot (hey you use what ya got in your pockets right?)
So for all of those it's been computer screens plus my phone screen for looking at them until just now. I noticed a description of a software upgrade for the television accessory, the Apple TV, that said it allowed access to your iCloud photo archive. As that's where I've got my photos backed up, other than a second local external hard drive, I was curious: get to see my photos on my flat screen television?
It works and it's great. Not the full wall size of my projected Kodachrome slide days but still a vast step up from my laptop!
The Sierra: looking good. :D

Nice to know, my iMac has a large screen and I sit closer to it, so probably not much diff. for me.

I can put my photos on a USB stick and plug it into my PS3/4. Or plug my phone/laptop into one of the TV's HDMI ports.
But in the general scheme of things, it's great how all the household electronics are slowly coming together. Soon you'll be able to check the forum on your toaster while bluetoothing with your fridge so it can upload photos to you phone (which you can view on the TV) of the inside so you know what to buy at the store.

I'm holding out for when I can send a message to my drone from the trail, have it open the fridge, pick up a cold six pack of beer, and fly it to me 500 miles away on a trail. Imagine the weight savings. And yes, it'll take the empties back home and put them in the recycling bin (LNT).
