Hi! Does anyone have an alfredo sauce they love? My experiments are failing....
Thanks so much!

I make my own. Heavy cream and butter with Parmesan cheese until it thickens. Salt and pepper to taste.

I like Newman's or Classico. I find they don't dehydrate well for the field, though. I'm guessing too much dairy.

Thank you. This helps. My first run was with just using water and milk powder with a Knorr mix, and it was really thin and the flavor just kind of got lost.

If your talking for backpacking, no clue. I don't usually eat that heavy when out.

Backpacking? This is from my newest book....
Alfredo Sauce Mix
1 cup dry milk 2 Tbsp shelf stable Parmesan cheese 1/3 cup diced dried onion 1 tsp granulated garlic 1/4 tsp salt, if desired 1/2 tsp white pepper
Mix all the ingredients together and store in a tightly sealed bag or container. Use in place of commercial “Dry Alfredo Mix” when called for in recipes. Depending on your taste you may want to add more salt. This mix adds a nice perk of flavor sprinkling 1 to 2 Tablespoon of it into rice, mashed potatoes, couscous and soup mixes.
