Planing a 2day hike into Coyote Gulch in late April, like to use Water Tank trail head off Fortymile Ridge rd. into gulch. Heard there is deep sand to trailhead, don't have 4x4 just high clearance. anyone know the latest condition of that section of Fortymile Ridge rd.? HAPPY TRAILS!!!

I'd ring the following for the best results. - BLM Big Water Visitor Center - Primary station for Grand Staircase-Escalante NM (435) 675-3200 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM MST 7 days
- Capitol Reef NP Visitor Center (435) 425-3791 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM MST

Or check with the folks here: backcountrypost.com/ Most of the forum users on that site live and hike in Utah. They can and will give you a crap ton of info.
