Jer here is how it started.
Someone opened a pasture without checking to make sure all the access gates were closed. They weren't. Llamas are intelligent and inquisitive, they found the open gate and went through it. Same someone tried to herd them with an ATV and the llamas took off up the hill through filbert orchards and into timber country. Four hours later I got the call from hell, "Your llamas are gone and I don't know where they are". Same someone (BWad) pointed to the clearcut on the ridge where the llamas were last seen and left me to look for them on my own. "Good luck and have a nice day"
All is well now.

Guess there are always gong to be a certain number of jerks in the world. I try, and mosty am successful, at not being one. Glad it all turned out for the good except for your frustration and anxiety.

No allergic reaction I hope. They are out in large numbers around our place, but luckily I haven't been attacked.

No allergic reaction---just several stings initially, then a couple more during my retaliation raid.
There was very little activity when I poked around the nest area this morning. I'm not yet ready to declare final victory, but any of them left out there won't be alive by sundown on Saturday.

"Retaliation raid", that's funny. I do mine early in the morning, with full armour, but I have a bit of reaction to the venom. Hope you got them out of your yard.
