Hey buttwad, the only thing more stupid than leaving the gate open and letting my llamas out was using your ATV to try and "herd" them back into the pasture. Last time anyone saw them they were running through a clearcut headed for the ridge. They are gone and I might never see them again. I spent all day looking for them and knocking on doors. I'll be back out there this evening and every day I can. You haven't done squat, not even apologized for your bonehead, compound mistakes. You have no idea how you have screwed me. You don't even care. FU

Sorry about the buttwad, llamero.
In addition to the sarcasm font, we also need a rant font. Maybe just large bold will do for now.

Dear Marilyn & Tim, Bill & the guy I woke up (your cat is worth a fortune on YouTube)
You are amazing. First you let me trespass on your property to look for my llamas and then you take a genuine interest in helping find them. My faith in humanity was restored, even if the llamas were lost forever. But they weren't, thanks to Marilyn's generous donation of her time and resources. Tim, you supported me, a complete stranger, when I didn't even support myself. Angels, that's what ya are. It was a crazy stupid day that you all combined to make into an enjoyable learning experience. I don't even know how that's possible, but that's what angels do. This is hard, but thank you buttplug for setting up the situation where I met so many incredible people. I'm okay if you don't do that anymore.
So, the llamas are home and happy to be there, the wife and I are spent. This went from 11am to 10pm. There is much more I could say about today, but not tonight. I needed to pay thanks to some very special people including you BP Forumers that offered support. Thankyou and goodnight.

Ya know, there used to be a "Dear ***" thread for just such occasions. Maybe we need a new one.

Ya know, there used to be a "Dear ***" thread for just such occasions. Maybe we need a new one. Llamero replies: I agree. I made that request in the comment thread I believe. This isn't how a quote reply is supposed to look I bet. More learning curve for me.

A happy ending for all (yes, even for 'buttwad' who now won't get shot at or beat up by irate llama owner). It would never come that, but I sure was upset at his lack of accountability and concern.

Hi, glad you got your animals back. Curious, is there a public road through your pasture that Buttwad crossed and left said gate open if so is a cattle guard an option?

No, he opened a field that had been closed for months, without checking the gate used by the hay baler. Thank goodness the animals went into the adjoining filbert orchard and not across the road.

4. do a "carriage return" to start a new line and type away your reply as normal. There is a phrase I don't hear much anymore. It didn't do anything to hit "Enter", I had to use the mouse and pointer. But, it looks like I got it. Now, how to do multiple quotes in a reply. I'm sure if it's possible, Steve has directions somewhere. Thanks Ben.

Sure am glad you got your ctitters back. What's the original take on what happened? Apparently, I missed something.
