Do you have any recommendations for a 3-day / 2-night backpack trip in the Whites for me and my family? My kids will be 10 and 12 by the time we would take this trip in the June or July time frame. Two summers ago they did about 7-miles and 1,800 feet elevation gain in a day, though there were some complaints as the day went on. But, I think anything in that range per day could be manageable.
Everything that I have looked at so far is either too far for a 2-night trip or too short.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

How about 2 nights at 13 Falls in the Pemi with day a day hike up to Mr. Guyot and the Twins then relaxing in the water.

Not in the Whites but we did the Bourne Pone - Stratton Pond loop in the Green Mountains last summer with our kids who were 9 and 12 at the time. There's a decent hill at the beginning but the rest is fairly flat and scenic. My 9 year old complained going up and down that hill, but he also was carrying the most weight proportionally, so that was a mistake on our part. There is a portion of it on the LT/AT too so we had fun talking to some LT thru hikers.
