Many moons ago, there was an Irish tourism commercial that said Ireland was so great, that it's been visited by Celts, French, English, Danes, Norwegians, Sweedes, etc. Then concluded with "Now imagine how much fun you could have, considering you're the only one's we invited?"

It has to be paired with an Irish temper. That would be mine -- on my dad's side. Which perhaps explains a lot.

I get asked a lot if I'm Irish (to the best of my knowledge, a significant portion of my ancestors were Scots, but I'm pretty hybrid). I have to say that although it's kind of interesting to see where your people came from, going that far back it becomes a bit meaningless. I can't really relate much farther back than "my grandmother was born in Nebraska."
