What is this "Refund" of which you speak? Did my taxes last night. Nothing else to do. Couldn't watch TV without the full sized monitor that was stolen. Something was different this year, though. What I owed the State doubled from last year. (This year about $180.00) But, the Fed return was double what I usually get back from them. (About $1000.00 this year). So that, along with the bonus, was a pretty good windfall. I didn't change anything, though I did have a lot of overtime last year. As far as the break-in goes, I boarded up the broken window (Vintage single pane from the 1940's.), replaced a couple of locks and got some stuff out of the main house. This morning, I found the backup drives. I guess I had hidden them (from myself, it seems) in the laundry/library room under some old blankets. So, all those password changes were for naught. I really think the objective of the thieves was to find guns. But, I don't own any guns, so they took the shiny things. I still think it was neighborhood kids off on Spring Break. I took the bus to work this morning so the that the Jeep will be in the driveway all day.

Just found out our refund. It's ridiculous.

If it wasn't for some fairly large bills to pay, we could fund a very nice trip overseas. Or if Bernie wins and raises taxes, the amount could fund a semester or two of college depending on where. Or we could buy a nice used car. Get the idea? I'm not putting the amount. We've given up trying to get it as close to $0 as possible. It's down this year, but we added a business, so if you figure in both refunds, we're up. I guess the plus side is that it'll pay off a $2000+ ER bill from my son, as well as a few other big bills. What's left will pay for my oldest son's college tuition in the fall.

Oh, I though you were talking about your REI refund. My IRS refund is also ridiculuous. Way high, every year. I don't know what it will be this year yet.

I would have to start shopping at REI in order to get a refund.
