I am from central ky.i have been hiking 30yrs.my main reason here is I need a hiking partner,I have some trails planned in state, one of the trails I really need somebody to go with, this time of year nobody is hiking it.my better judgment tells me not to go alone. I usually hike alone.,most everyone is lazy anymore.

Welcome from the Big Sky country. Doubt if I'll be able to make it to Kentucky to hike with you, but if you ever make it to Montana, let me know. We have a fair amount of hiking here.

Welcome! I often hike alone, but I can understand the reason for wanting a partner for safety reasons. I prefer the solitude unless I have the right partner. What trails are you considering? I know very little about KY. I spent a weekend there last summer, and that was nothing but fun girl time with a best friend. I had a brief stop at Mammoth Cave on my way home.

Hi kyhiker1 and welcome to the Forums. I'm pretty much a solo hiker.

Welcome to the forums, glad you're here! Another solo hiker here, though I usually bring my dog, so perhaps technically not solo. Company is overrated.

Welcome to the breakfast club. You can tell which character tomas plays... The one that doesn't get the girl in the end? I'm pretty much a solo hiker Ditto. I was curious about the trail given I've never really felt a need to have a hiking partner for safety.

It is very muddy in KY right now.plenry of places to slip and fall off,in the area.i just rather have somebody to tag along. Most other trails around KY are travled daily by hikers, this is not so much. I think it's best kept secret.

Welcome, Ky. Hope you can find a hiking buddy (I'm also along way from there). Getting out, however you do it, is important, but I might also think twice about going into dubious terrain all alone.
Could you (and you aren't the only one) do a favor for some of us with older eyes? Can you use capital letters and spaces at the start of sentences? It makes it much easier for some of us to see and read your posts. Thanks!
