...all disappeared. I used to hike with them!. Any connection there? What's strange to me is to look at the list of members (cgap was here in Feb,) and see how many signed up, posted a few times--or never--and left. I have thought about sending them email to ask what caused them to give up? Forgot the URL? Didn't like to look or contents anymore? Tired of the moderator? Really, people do change their interests, but I always wonder.

I thought cgap was getting better. No? What's up with Darryl? COPD doesn't surprise me but I don't remember leukemia. Is he still working at the machine shop or whatever?

Steelhead, Gilamonster, hnak, Moab, ureg, ... wow, so many members I enjoyed conversing with and no longer around. Hell, I can't even remember their screen names.

If you hear from him find out how he's doing and tell him I miss him. He's a good guy.

That picture of the guy in the blue blouse is still floating around out in the ether..... You know, they say if you speak the devil's name enough times he'll appear.... But there certainly were a lot of characters over the years. Some I miss (Christie for example before she moved to Alaska) and then there are the ones who I'm glad are gone (Prosecutor who simply is a toxic human being).

Acliff !
April was fun to follow. "Trouse" was short for truck/house, so April's Truck/House.
YogaGirl is also hard to forget. BP2GO must have been napping when she first posted her photos.
There have been many others that are now lost with all of the "upgrades".

Really, people do change their interests, but I always wonder. Why not put together a survey and send it to every email address you have? Ask whatever you want. It may give you and the powers that be some additional insight on ways of improving the site and increasing participation. And post the results, of course. I think many would be intersted.

Why not put together a survey... It's certainly on my mind. This software allows sending out email to all members, I just wish it allowed selecting some rather than all. I'd like to send a note to all members with ZERO posts, or with fewer than five, for example. The downside of this would be that I don't need to get hundreds of emails with replies to tally! I could see a survey posted here and send an email inviting people to check in and participate! Then we could all see what was happening and read opinions offered.

Maybe they'd come, maybe not, but we can try. I'm willing to bully EyeBP until he shows up and confesses why he's scared to come around
