My (non-political) takeaway from the protests going on around the country: we have failed in our obligation to teach our younger generations how to pitch a tent.

My (non-political) takeaway from the protests going on around the country: we have failed in our obligation to teach our younger generations how to pitch a tent. Let’s see how well we would do, cramped in that tight together…without any space to run cords, our tents would lean & sag a bit too.

The local Wal-Mart must have had a blue-light special in the camping aisles.

I've been to a bunch of music festivals where you camp like that. Maybe there isn't that much partying in that crowd but drunken people tripping on guys and falling into tents and messing them up is definitely not unheard of at the festivals.
I also have worked clean up after events and the stuff people leave behind is remarkable. I have three large heavy tarps from that for free. A one point I had a whole bunch of camp chairs.

Definitely not staked out. You can see the inner body of the tents billowing. They are nothing but dumpster ready tents.
