Those are great! I do like the clouds this year. The world is not always sunny and bright. But there is tranquility to be found through it all.

Do you have to fight much of a crowd this time of year?

You would’ve seen me out there, but my mother is hospitalized again. :(
There are a few cherry blossoms visible from her hospital room, but she’s not in a state to care.
Great photos.

Do you have to fight much of a crowd this time of year? There were a lot of people early in the morning, all jostling to take pictures of the sunrise...which didn't really happen because of some low clouds. This is the best glimpse of the morning sun I got (not the best photo, so I didn't post it originally): Later in the day the crowds actually reduced. It was weird.

They would have brightened her day for sure (otherwise). Well it brightened my day a little bit, which counts for something. Perhaps it helped me not strangle a cardiologist this morning. Caregiving/advocacy is utterly exhausting. There’s a time for overly-cautious communication & CYA - that time is NOT while my mother is losing blood. Thanks for your post & your photos. You are truly talented.

View from the Sibley ICU. They don’t allow access to the danged window blinds. :-\

Incidentally, this was the earliest peak bloom in the past 20yrs. Anyone know if the indicator tree did its thing? I think it did. I was following the updates and the indicator tree bloomed about 7-10 days before peak bloom.

Need to haul myself over to the UW campus for the best cherry blossoms in Seattle. THanks for sharing the photos. Sleeping Bag Man!, I’m sorry your mom isn’t doing well. Glad you got outside for a bit.
