I have an older BD, probably 30L, so more of a multiday pack. I think I took it to Patagonia once for a few weeks. No complaints.

Not recently, but I tried out a larger Black Diamond pack a number of years ago, a minimal-featured pack intended for rock scrambling and climbing. Very well made and durable, decent suspension, light on features, but that was by design.
That looks like it would be really comfortable. Pretty expensive for a pack that size compared to some competing brands, but i love the shoulder strap pockets.

Some years ago, I ordered a Black Diamand Sonic daypack, along with a similar Deuter. The Deuter fit my frame a little better, so I kept it and returned the Black Diamond. But it was extremely well made, and if I hadn't been trying it side by side with a pack that suited me a bit better, I definitely would have kept and been happy with it. It was a really nice pack.

I bought a BD Octane from Ray Estrella 300 years ago. I don't think BD makes that pack (or the series) anymore.
All my stuff is OLD - but it's like me in that regard. :^D
