Anyone ever see/hear/use about a product like this? vauclusegear.com/products/ultralight-ventilation-backpack-frame?variant=42987990745239I'm intrigued, but concerned. Am I just kinda turning my pack into an external frame pack & throw off weight balance? I wonder how durable something like this would be. Three days in, is it just gonna be a pile of plastic sticks? I'm mostly interested in using with my camera backpack as the moisture can eventually work into my gear there in hot enough conditions.

I only took a cursory look at the website but that just looks like something that is anxiously waiting to go wrong.

I would be more inclined to trust a backpack that's designed to provide some ventilation, whether it's an internal frame like the Osprey Atmos or old-school external from Kelty, both in terms of comfort and durability, but maybe i'm being narrow-minded. There is a product review of an earlier iteration (2022) of this frame on Backpackgeartest.org that might interest you. Vaucluse review Didn't seem to have issues with durability, but balance with a larger pack seemed to be an issue.

One size fits all? I doubt it.
Doesn't create pressure points? I doubt it.
Keeps your back from sweating? I doubt it.
Keeps sweat from soaking the back of your pack? Maybe.

Probably more than anything, the pressure points is most concerning. I could just see how that's gonna lead to three spots taking all the weight. Ugh.

Looks like box springs for a mattress.

Nice idea but there’s other options. Having gone with ultralight rucksacks (made to order), I can usually get one with tabs and cord to attach a dimpled foam sitting pad. Works good enough plus something to sit on, extra foam for the sleeping pad set up, etc..
