I think this article is saying it is the end of Eureka tents. Their parent company is "exiting" the business.
My first tent was a 2 person Eureka Timberline.

That's too bad. My first 1p was a Eureka, as was the car camping tent we used for 30 years.

My first tent was a 2 person Eureka Timberline. Same here. I probably used it for 25 years or so. They made decent entry-level stuff, so I'm sorry to see them go.

The Eureka Spitfire 1 was really a great entry level tent for backpacking. Weight wasn't bad for what you got.

My first tent was also a Eureka. I bought it in.....1980? One of the zippers finally broke after many years of abuse.

i grew up sleeping in their two-person tents, Eureka Timberlines. good, durable tents, but not the best in the wind or a hard rain. These days, REI brand is a better option at the same price point.

The Eureka Backcountry 1 was my first tent. Just under 4 lbs. Passed it along to my nephew when I got the first version of the Six Moons Skyscape Trekker. The Eureka tent is still in great shape after almost 20 years. Absolutely solid in heavy wind and rain or even modest snow. Still envious of all the room it has and it's free-standing setup every time I'm out with my nephew.
