Ancient (mid-90s?) Marmot Gore Tex sleeping bag - model?

Yes, post a photo. We have enough old-timers/Gear addicts here that someone will probably recognize it.

I couldn't find a catalog from the 90's but did find one from 1977. There were the Gopher and Pika

A catalog collector might be what you are looking for. Maybe ask Marmot again if they have old catalogs. I would think they would.

That looks similar to my Marmot sawtooth 15 degree bag bought in 1998. It was a great bag honorably discharged for car camping now. Don’t think it says anything about Colorado. Won’t be home for some days I’ll check when I get back. Although the label could be worn off by now.

Just to double check have you fully inspected the interior of the bag for a label? Because my mid nineties Marmot Couloir has its model on a tag along the inside.

I'm not surprised Marmot lacks good records. The brand has been sold, re-sold, spun off, like so many such companies. I would just post photos and call it 'vintage Marmot down sleeping bag,' thoroughly describe its condition and how you have maintained it (stored in a loose bag, ever laundered, etc., which I would want to know), and attempt to re-sell somewhere like Geartrade or Craigslist.

Marmot is now owned by Newell Brands, along with Bubba, Coleman, Ex Officio, CampingGaz (and brands for coffee makers, pens, glue....). Not sure whether or how that has affected brand quality, but I no longer think of the company as one of the leaders/innovators for outdoor gear. More carrying forward designs that have been around for a while, capitalizing on the name. It's unfortunate; in the past, I wore a good gore tex shell from Marmot, and my three season bag for years was a Sawtooth (mummy bag, 600 fill power down, rated to 15 degrees). Durable, well-performing gear. Bought a pair of their guide gloves a few years ago, and that was a mistake; quality had really declined, they were trashed in a year.

A couple of years ago, I hunted for what happened to Wilderness Experience, who made my first internal frame backpack. all that was left was a Kickstarter reboot to sell a reissue of the klettersack day pack - leather patch lash points, cordura nylon, etc. checked again, and it appears they still had some stock, all half-price. i just bought one of those reissue packs for half price, about $60 - it's a bit like the Cold Cold World pack I now use as my ultimate small beat-it-to-death daypack. i did the same in the past 3-5 years with an LL Bean nylon anorak - plain windbreaker with leather tabs on the hood cords, baggy throw-it-on shell. i used to ski in one of these a lot. not as functional as, say, a Patagonia Houdini, but I like the retro cool factor when they reissue gear like this and do it right.
